Je to tady! Nejstarší klubová noc Meccy a 2. nejoblíbenější česká party slaví 5 let své existence! Během těchto 5 let Meccamix představil desítky zahraničních i domácích DJů, vydavatelství a prestižních klubů. Pravidelně každý měsíc se snaží přinášet něco nového ze světové klubové scény a pro toto významné výročí jsme se rozhodli představit poprvé v klubu Mecca legendu house music, producenta a hitmakera – OLAVA BASOSKIHO. Jeho energický DJ set naprosto uchvátil návštěvníky Dance Celebration v Arkádách Pankrác v září 2009.
Olav Basoski je prostě mistrem holandské house music. Je majitelem labelu Rootz Records, na kterém zpočátku své kariery vydával i veleslavný DJ Armin Van Buuren. Hity Olava Basoskiho jako „Opium Scumbags“, „Waterman“ nebo „Can´t Stand No Lies“ vévodí světovým tanečním a klubovým hitparádám. Olav remixoval hity takových jmen, jakými jsou Moby, James Brown, Bob Marley, Armin Van Buuren, Todd Terry, Phats & Small a je právem považován za jednoho z nejrespektovanějších DJs house music na světě. V současné době vydal po boku DJe Ericka E veleúspěšný track - Don't Turn Your Back, který se drží na prvních příčkách světových djských žebříčků a mnoho velkých jmen světového DJingu ho stále zařazuje do svých setů.
Dále budou blahopřát rezidenti Meccamixu, a to DJ Carl Lope, DJ Looky, DJ Fcuk, DJ Castor a DJ Martin Frank. Meccamix has introduced tens of international DJs, wellknown labels or world clubs during this time. We have invited one of the biggest names in dance music for this special ocassion – OLAV BASOSKI.
To some, Olav Basoski is the “grand signeur” of Dutch housemusic. Others find him to be their inspiration to pursue a career in Dj’ing. Those who have heard him play one of his firing sets across the globe have been overwhelmed by his ability to lock a dancefloor into a groove for hours on end. There is a lot to say about Olav Basoski, but one thing is certain; he stood at the crib of the international house scene and has been on top of it ever since. Being the leading man behind the infamous Dutch label Work Records he’s released one true classic after another. Think Pancake – “Don’t turn your back”, think Sil – “Windows”, or “Opium Scumbagz”, the #1 Ibiza anthem of 2000 under his own name, not to mention one of the most sought after housemusic vinylseries ever produced, “Samplitude”, comprising over 50 tracks in all. And it doesn’t stop there; Olav’s remix-discography reads like a challenging list of timeless musical works too, well over a hundred! From Moby to James Brown, from Bob Marley to Hatiras and from Armin van Buuren to Todd Terry to Phats and Small, everyone has called him in for help. In 2005 Olav releases his "Waterman" and again all hell breaks loose.
